icare continuously
reviews the efficiency and effectiveness of our schemes to help ensure we are
supporting injured people back to work as soon as possible.
icare has
proactively made the decision to reduce the number of Claims Services Providers
on its panel following consideration of the needs of the schemes over the
long-term. As a result of this decision, DXC will no longer form part of
icare's panel of claims service providers.
We are working closely with DXC to support the
smooth transfer of policies and claims. If your policy is impacted by this
change, we will contact you prior to the policy transfer date. For further
information, visit the Frequently Asked Questions below.

Frequently asked questions
-
Can I choose the CSP my policy is transferred to?
If your Average Performance Premium (APP) or Group
Average Performance Premium (GAPP) is less than $100,000, icare will assign a CSP to manage your policy and
any claims.
If your policy is transferring to a new CSP, we’ll let you know before
the transfer takes place.
-
When will the new CSP start managing my business’ new claims?
Your new CSP will start managing any new claims from the date your
policy is transferred.
We're working with DXC to make this transition as smooth as possible and
expect policies to be transferred by December 2025. We'll contact you ahead of
time to let you know when your transfer will take place.
-
I have an open/closed claim with DXC, what does this mean for me?
There’s nothing you need to do. Open and closed claims currently being
managed by DXC will be transferred to your new CSP.
icare will notify workers, the employer, their broker and any other key people
related to the claim.
-
What happens if I lodge a claim before my policy is transferred to a new CSP?
There’s nothing you need to do. Until the policy transfers new claims
will be lodged with DXC and will continue to be managed by DXC until transferred
to your new CSP. icare will notify workers, the
employer, brokers and any other key people related to the claim prior to the
claims being transferred.
-
For employers that are part of a Group will the individual policies within the Group be transferred to the same CSP?
Grouped employers will keep a common CSP and will not
have their new claims split across multiple providers.
-
Will my business’ claims move immediately to my new CSP?
Claims will be
transferred within 2 – 6 months after the transfer of your policy.
-
Will this affect my policy premium?
The change will not impact how icare calculates your policy premium.
However, for experience rated employers, claims cost will continue to be
included in the calculation
