How to sign up and link icare in HICAPS or Tyro Health
You'll need to create an account with either HICAPS or Tyro Health. Once signed in, just select icare from the available options in the platform to start invoicing.

- Go to HICAPS Digital Help Guide
- Create a free account
- In the account dashboard, go to the Programs tab
- Select icare from the list of funders, to enable Workers Insurance invoicing
- Start submitting your invoices.

- Create a free account
- Go to the Get Paid tab
- Find and enable icare under available funders
- Submit and track invoices online.

Start invoicing
Once your account is set up and icare is connected in HICAPS or Tyro Health, you're ready to start submitting invoices online.
- Log into your HICAPS or Tyro Health account
- Select icare as the funder or scheme
- Enter invoice details: claim number, provider, date, service/item codes
- Submit the invoice
- Track it in your invoice history - payment typically occurs the next business day after approval.

What can I submit?
Invoices for the Nominal Insurer Workers Insurance Scheme.
These have a claim number format of seven digits beginning with a 2 or higher, for example 7123456, and includes icare claims managed by EML, Allianz, GIO, QBE, Gallagher Bassett, DXC and icare Specialised Claims.
You can verify if any claim number is eligible for submission in the Tyro Health or HICAPS portals in real time.

What can't I submit?
Invoices for Insurance for NSW (Treasury Managed Fund) are not yet available. These have claim number formats of TFXXXXXXX, 7705XXXXXXX and XXXXXXEML.
Invoices for icare schemes Lifetime Care, Workers Care and CTP care programs are not yet available.
Invoices for specialised insurers or self-insurers cannot be submitted, these claims are not managed by icare. For more information visit the State Insurance Regulatory Authority's (SIRA) full list of workers compensation insurers.
You can verify if any claim number is eligible for submission in the Tyro Health or HICAPS portals in real time.

Is there any cost?
No, there is no cost to submit digital invoices to icare.

Do I need a claim number?
Yes, all invoices require a valid claim number. If the injured worker does not have or know their claim number, please
contact the appropriate Claims Service Provider to obtain this.

What should I do if a claim number has not yet been issued to the injured worker?
The injured worker or their employer will need to
lodge a claim.

Can I use my existing HICAPS or Tyro Health Online account?
Yes. Simply log in and add icare as a funder.
