About Geraldine
"I have a graduate diploma in rehabilitation counselling with an undergraduate bachelor of arts degree, majoring in psychology and education. I have worked mainly in brain injury rehabilitation case management, in both metropolitan and regional settings. I also worked at the Commonwealth Rehabilitation Service (CRS), providing work opportunities for those recovering from injuries. I am a member of the Australian Society of Rehabilitation Counsellors (ASORC).
My expertise is in assisting people with brain, spinal cord and severe physical injury improve their independence in everyday life through well-coordinated, person-centred support services, including case management.
I have extensive experience working with multidisciplinary teams to support progress of rehabilitation pathways; in particular, discharge planning and transitional life points (for example, moving from school to work). I have been described as well-organised and am committed to working with clients to bring a sense of order to the sometimes overwhelming experience of recovery from serious injury.
I am an approved icare Case Manager with experience in Comprehensive Third Party and Workers Compensation claims."
