About Lauren

"I have worked as an Occupational Therapist since 2011, working with individuals with severe injuries within the workers compensation(NSW Workers Compensation and Comcare) and disability sectors. Some areas of interest include equipment prescription, multi-trauma, amputations and brain injury. I have worked with clients in the general population, as well as members of the Australian Defence Force and Veterans. My work has included involvement from the time of injury, throughout the recovery and rehabilitation process, through to working with individuals 30+ years post- injury. I have assisted clients to return to work when they've been functionally able and return to everyday life when work is no longer the primary goal.

I have been exposed to Occupational Therapy my whole life, having a sibling that lives with Cerebral Palsy, and therefore know the importance of good quality therapy interventions and case management. I understand the impact disability and injury can have on not only the person, but their whole support network and am passionate about collaborative and holistic case management. I joined the team at Wise OT Solutions in September 2023, providing community based occupational therapy and case management for clients with severe injuries. I am proficient in identifying specific and meaningful goals with clients and collaboratively developing care programs with treating teams, and care agencies.

I always strive to find the best supports for clients and will not hesitate in organising a collaborative case conference to ensure everyone is working cohesively. I have facilitated care programs and training with agencies and clients to find the best fit for all parties. I am FIM accredited and have experience with completing care needs assessments and eligibility applications for clients within the various compensation schemes. I enjoy helping clients realise their potential and achieve their goals to live full and purposeful lives."
