Dr Alexandra (Alix) Smith
Alexandra has been a specialist respiratory physician for 29 years, working clinically in both the public and private sectors across both NSW and the ACT.
She has extensive clinical experience in the management of occupational dust diseases. She is currently the Medical Director of the Division of Medicine and Cancer, and a Senior Staff Specialist Respiratory Physician at St George Hospital.
She is a graduate of the University of New South Wales and a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. She trained in Sydney and did research at the Harvard School of Public Health. She is actively involved in clinical care of patients, functional assessment of pulmonary function, education and research. She also works on the icare Medical Assessment Panel.
