Download a Certificate of Currency
A Certificate of Currency has important information about your insurance, like your business name, ABN, wages, industry classification and the number of workers covered. It also confirms that your workers' insurance policy is up to date.
Where to find it
You’ll receive a copy of your Certificate of Currency in your renewal pack, which is sent six weeks before your policy renews each year. If you need a new Certificate of Currency now, you can easily download one through our self-service portal.

When you might need it
As an employer, you might be asked to provide a Certificate of Currency to prove your insurance is current. For example, if you work in construction you may be asked for a Certificate of Currency to allow your workers access to a work site.
Check your existing cover
You can use our Employer Lookup tool for a quick confirmation of your workers insurance cover with icare. It’s a fast way to make sure your insurance is in place so you can keep working.
Keep in mind, while the Employer Lookup confirms that a business has a policy in place, it won’t show the details such as wages, industry classification, or worker numbers. For those, you will need to refer to your Certificate of Currency.
Keep your cover up to date
Under section 163A(7) of the Workers Compensation Act 1987 you are obliged to advise us if your business details have changed during the policy period.
